THE FERRY m/s ÖLAND / m/s NORDÖ / m/s JARL
(1967-1982)

Between 1967 and 1968, the Oskarshamn-Byxelkrok route was operated by m/s Öland, which was renamed m/s Nordö in 1969. The vessel later came under the ownership of Rederi AB Ölandssund and was renamed m/s Jarl. She continued in service before eventually being converted into a floating restaurant. Ferry services between Oskarshamn and Byxelkrok came to an end in 1982.
